Aisha Jamila is an American actress who is best famous for her performances on TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has proven her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in the 2005 film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her performance as women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally gave her acclaim as an actress. Hind was recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show has been renewed for its third season on 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has recently finished filming the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. She was born at Mangalore, in India. Her father Krishnaraj, who was an Army Scientist, who passed away on March 18 2017. She and her mother Vrinda are both domestic helpers. Aditya Rai, her older brother is an engineer in the merchant marine industry. The brother of Bachchan co-produced and wrote the script for Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. She attended Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai in India, where her family relocated. She completed her intermediate education in Jai Hind College for a year prior to enrolling in D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. She received 90% on her H.S.C. exams. She spent five years during her teenage years studying classical dance and music. Her passion was for Zoology. Bachchan as a student taking classes in architecture, was crowned Miss World in the year 1994. This title launched her into the limelight of modeling. The model was offered lucrative jobs with PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine along with a spokesmodel contract with L'Oreal Paris in 2003. The actress's career was off to a good start with praised roles on Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Bachchan became the face of New Bollywood with these films which defied the basic Bollywood structure. Bachchan was crowned the queen of Bollywood through her portrayal of Paro the betrayed love in Devdas The film was among the greatest film productions. This was also the first Bollywood movie to screen at Cannes Film Festival. Following that she received much acclaim for the role she played the character Chokher Bali (2003) which is a dramatic thriller that was based on Rabindranath Tagore's classic novel. The same year, she was the first Indian actress to join the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan was in Bride and Prejudice by Gurinder Chadha, which is a dance and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. That's when Bachchan made her famous by bringing star power and a beautiful face to her first important English-language film. In 2006, she returned to Bollywood with the hit movie Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story in English. Abhishek Bachchan was a regular actor as well as the son of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. In April 2007, she married the actor. This union brought together two famous Indian stars.
