Aisha Jamila is an American actress who is best famous for her performances on TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has proven her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in the 2005 film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her performance as women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally gave her acclaim as an actress. Hind was recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show has been renewed for its third season on 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has recently finished filming the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
