Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. She was born on 11th November 1966. Her debut in a feature film was a tiny part on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte played Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody began her modeling career after her being approached by a aspiring photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was extremely determined not to do the glamorous work or doing nude. The rule was extended to the acting profession. If she came to the director's notice for a James Bond film, Doody took on a part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was named one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was still only aged 18 when she made her debut in the Bond part. Doody was a silent actress in the 1987 version from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The first time she played the lead in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her most memorable role to date in the film Taffin as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokesperson and then was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend in Major League II. Doody was part of the 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony for an award. The roles she played include a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the remake she made in 2011. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first of two seasons in the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November of 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and she received a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
